Invoices and factoring packets
Invoice brokers from a delivered load, email the invoice with the rate con and POD, mark it paid or unpaid, or send a factoring packet to your factor.
freightline supports two ways of getting paid. Pick yours in Settings → Company under Getting paid: We invoice brokers ourselves or Through a factoring company, then press Save changes. With factoring, the Invoices page is hidden and the factoring packet becomes the main action after delivery.
If you invoice brokers yourself
- Set Payment terms (days) under Invoicing in Settings → Company.
- Open a delivered load and press Create invoice. The due date uses the broker’s own terms if you set them on the broker, otherwise your payment terms.
- On the invoice, Edit lets you change the bill-to name, billing email and address, due date and notes. The terms follow the dates: moving the due date recalculates them from the issue date, so the invoice reads Net N, or Due on receipt when the due date is the issue date.
- Press Email to broker. Fill in To (and Cc if needed), add a message, and keep Attach rate con & POD ticked to send the documents with it. You can also Print or Share it as a PDF link.
- When the money arrives, press Mark paid and add a payment reference if you like. Made a mistake? The owner can press Mark unpaid to reopen it. Outstanding and paid invoices have their own tabs on the Invoices page.
If you factor
- In Settings → Company, fill in Factoring company and Factoring email (their submissions inbox).
- Open a delivered load and press Email to factoring. The rate con, BOL, POD and invoice (if there is one) go to that address and the load is marked Factored.
- Track the payment on the pill next to the load status: Pending, Factored or Paid. Click it to change the status.
- If you connected a Telegram bot in , sends the same files to your chat.
