Set up the freightline driver app on a phone

The driver app is the freightline website on the driver’s phone. There’s nothing to download from an app store: the driver signs in, adds it to the home screen, and it opens like an app.

Give the driver a login

1. Open Drivers, click the driver and press Edit.
2. The login uses the driver’s Email. Under Account, set a password and save. freightline never emails passwords, so tell the driver yourself.
3. A driver added with only a phone number has no app login. To enable it, add their email in Edit driver, set a password and save.
4. Back on the driver’s page, the Driver app card has Copy app link and Email instructions to driver.

Add it to the home screen

• iPhone: open the link in Safari, sign in, tap the Share button, then Add to Home Screen.
• Android: open the link in Chrome and sign in. Tap Install on the banner that offers it, or use Chrome’s menu to add it to the home screen.

On the road

1. The driver sees their current load: pickup and delivery with addresses, times, references and contact phones, with Navigate and Apple Maps buttons.
2. Tap Upload BOL or Upload POD to send photos or a PDF. Several pages can be picked at once, and each one is attached to the load.
3. Tap Picked up, then Delivered. Delivered unlocks once a POD is uploaded; neither works until the rate confirmation is on file.
4. sends a short message, like a late ETA.
