Driver settlements
Driver settlement software for small fleets
freightline builds each driver’s settlement from their delivered loads, using their pay scheme (percentage, per mile or weekly salary) and taking out the deductions you set. You approve it, mark it paid and send a PDF paystub the driver can open on their phone.

Pay schemes
- Percentage of each load’s gross, for example 30%.
- Per mile on loaded miles, for example $0.65, with an optional deadhead rate.
- Weekly salary, a fixed amount regardless of loads.
Deductions and adjustments
Set recurring deductions once on the driver: insurance, ELD, trailer rent, escrow, anything you take out. Each one is a fixed dollar amount or a percentage of gross, charged per load, weekly, monthly or one time. On the settlement itself you add bonuses, reimbursements, cash advances or damage charges.
Owner-operators and dispatchers
Owner-operators running under your MC keep their gross and pay you a percentage fee. freightline splits that fee between the people who earn it, such as dispatchers and the MC owner, and records every share. Dispatchers and office staff get their own pay: a percentage of the gross they dispatched or a fixed salary.

What it doesn’t do
- It doesn’t move money or run payroll taxes. It calculates pay and documents it.
- No direct QuickBooks sync yet. Driver pay exports to CSV, including a QuickBooks-ready file.
Frequently asked questions
Which pay types does freightline support?
Percentage of each load's gross, cents per loaded mile, or a fixed weekly salary. Per-mile and percentage drivers can also be paid a deadhead rate per mile.
Does freightline send the money to drivers?
No. freightline works out the pay and produces the paystub. You pay the driver the way you do today, then press Mark as Paid.
How are owner-operators under my MC handled?
An owner-operator keeps their gross and pays your company a percentage fee. You split that fee between recipients, for example 4% to a day dispatcher, 4% to a night dispatcher and 4% to the MC owner, and each share is tracked to the cent.
Can drivers see their own paystubs?
Yes. Drivers who sign in to the driver app see their paystubs under My settlements, and you can send any paystub as a link that opens without a login for 30 days.
What happens if a load changes after the settlement is made?
Each settlement keeps a snapshot of the math it was built from, so the paystub a driver already has stays explainable. Adjustments such as bonuses, advances or damage charges are added on the settlement itself.
