Driver settlements and paystubs
Set a driver's pay scheme (percentage, per mile or salary) and deductions, build a settlement from delivered loads, approve it, mark it paid, share the paystub.
A settlement is a driver’s pay statement for a set of delivered loads. freightline works out the pay from the driver’s pay scheme and deductions, and keeps a snapshot of the math on every settlement.
Set up the driver’s pay
- Open Drivers, click the driver and find Compensation & deductions.
- Choose the Pay scheme type: Percentage (share of each load’s gross, 30 = 30%), CPM (dollars per loaded mile, for example 0.65) or Salary (a fixed weekly amount regardless of loads). Tick Pay for deadhead miles to add a deadhead rate per mile.
- Press Add deduction for anything you take out regularly. Give it a name, choose Fixed (dollars) or Percentage (share of gross), and a frequency: Per load, Weekly (once for each week the settlement covers), Monthly (once for each 1st of the month inside the period) or One time (charged once, on the first settlement that picks it up).
Create and pay a settlement
- Go to Settlements. Delivered loads that haven’t been settled are grouped by driver with the calculated pay for each load.
- Press Generate settlement (all N) on that driver to settle every listed load, or tick some loads first and the button becomes Generate settlement (N) for just those. To pay something that isn’t tied to loads, use Manual settlement.
- On the settlement, press Add adjustment for a bonus, reimbursement, cash advance, damage charge or other amount.
