How the Oregon rate is used on your IFTA return
Oregon miles go on the return like any other state: they are part of your total miles, so they raise or lower your fleet MPG and therefore the taxable gallons in every other state. There is no Oregon tax line, no diesel rate and no credit. The state collects its Oregon weight-mile tax on a separate report based on the same miles.
Example: 10,000 miles in Oregon at a fleet average of 6.5 MPG is 1,538 gallons burned there, but the IFTA tax on them is $0. Those 10,000 miles are still reported.
Oregon IFTA questions
What is the Oregon IFTA diesel tax rate for Q4 2026?
Oregon does not tax diesel through IFTA. Interstate trucks pay the Oregon weight-mile tax instead, filed separately with the state, so the IFTA matrix shows no diesel rate for OR.
Do Oregon miles still go on my IFTA return?
Yes. Miles driven in Oregon count toward your total miles and fleet MPG, which changes the taxable gallons in every other state. You just owe no IFTA diesel tax on them.
Does Oregon have a separate weight-distance tax?
Yes: the Oregon weight-mile tax. It is filed separately from IFTA, using the same Oregon miles.
